That was enough motivation to get started and within 6 months, she had finished the first draft of Tomorrows Child, the first book in a series of Paranormal Fantasy Novels. Starr is involved in a number of community projects and enjoys learning ‘lost skills’ such as baking bread, making soap and candles. Author bio:
I'm live in northern England and I enjoy writing romantic comedies. I write to entertain and so I enjoy adding a little fantasy element to my down-to-earth stories. My newest books are a little darker and deal with paranormal romance, rather than chicklit. I have written these for the young adult audience. Although my books deal with romance I like to keep the content mostly suitable for everyone! Writing is my passion; as soon as I complete one book I'm already up and running on my next. I get bored easily, though and have had many jobs from fitness instructor and technical support advisor through to nursery nurse and my current job - maths tutor. I never tire of writing though - it's like an addiction! I like to bring some of my past experiences into my books and I hope this helps make the books believable for readers. I always like to hear from readers who have enjoyed my books and I welcome twitter and facebook followers as well as email comments. Bye for now Anna x
Sacrifice by Nadia Bashoo Sacrifice by Nadia Bashoo Jan. 27, 2012 $4.99 128817 words Sample 15%
Author bio:
For as long as I can remember, I've made up stories. Initially to get out of trouble at home but later because of my love for books and reading. My early efforts featured my favourite book and TV characters. I had a taste for the dramatic even then which has carried over into my adult work. It was an easy decision to write for the Young Adult market, as Young Adult and children's fantasy makes up a large majority of my book collection. People often ask me why I write fantasy, and I always give the same answer. There are no rules. Anything is allowed, as long as it's believable. If the characters behave in a way people can relate to, it doesn't matter what their situation is. I tried romance and historical fiction but these efforts soon found their way into the Recycle Bin on my laptop. This is my first venture into the ebook market. I have had a book printed but felt that I wasn't in control. At least with ebooks, I make my own decisions and take overall responsibility for the content, edits, appearance and marketing. Ebooks 2 and 3 are nearly complete and will follow shortly. The biggest wonder of my life is how I'm able to write a 200 plus page book but find it impossible to come up with two sentences for a birthday card. Away from reading and writing books, I love playing piano for business and pleasure. Before concentrating on my book writing, I used to write songs as well. Maybe I should combine both passions and write a musical.
Shattered by Jezebel Jorge Shattered by Jezebel Jorge Jan. 27, 2012 $0.99 73165 words Sample 20%
Author bio:

Her strongest magickal powers are the ability to cast candle spells and communicating with those who have passed with a spirit board or through her dreams. When starting a new project she never knows where her characters might decide to take her. Sometimes it feels like she’s merely taking dictation from the voices running amok inside her head. Witches and pro wrestlers might seem like a strange combination, but Jezebel has spent most of her adult life around the inner workings of the wrestling business. She’s been a fan, ring rat (groupie), ring girl, valet, live-in girlfriend and lover and confidant to some of the most creative minds in the wrestling industry. When she’s not writing, Jezebel likes to get lost in a good book. She is owned by a 99.9 lb. spoiled rotten Golden Retriever / Great Pyrenees mix named Harry Potter.

Midnight Fire - Rise of the Dark Angel by Melody Anne Midnight Fire - Rise of the Dark Angel by Melody Anne Jan. 26, 2012 $2.99 65661 words Sample 20%
Author bio:
Melody has had a passion for writing since she was a little girl. Her first book was written at around the age of ten, and it was about a handsome prince Charming rescuing his princess and taking her away to his castle to live happily ever after. She continued to write through her teenage years, but never with the expectation to ever publish anything. Around 2007 Melody realized that she had finished her first full manuscript, and looked at it in awe. She had around a hundred books started on her computer, but had never finished one before. She was so ecstatic about her accomplishment that she jumped in to work on another book. She finished five books in a three year period, and then started thinking about possibly publishing those books. Melody did a lot of research and discovered how to get her books published, and has been in author’s bliss since then. She is thrilled by the success of her books, since she loves her characters so much, and wants the world to feel the same way. She is constantly working on new materials, and feels like the sky is the limit. Her family helps come up with many ideas, and her friends are a constant help. She hopes you love her books as much as she loves writing them. Melody has two amazing children, along with about five additional kids that she adores like her own kids, that keep her busy all the time with school events, and sporting schedules, a husband who has become a pretty great cook since she is planted in front of her computer all the time, and two puppies, who help her writing by making sure to keep her lap or feet warm. Family is always first in her life.

I read the first book in one night; I know my students would love to hear more about your books.”-Charla VandeBerg (Raymond B. Stewart Middle School in Zephyrhills) Shifter Evolutions -"This is a fast-moving story, never a dull moment. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it.” -Imogen Rose (Author of Portal Chronicles) ‘This is a very well structured piece of writing. I very much like how you create the opening atmosphere using a good range of strong sensory descriptions. Very powerful! Also what is very good is the suspense you build by what you don’t tell. this sets up the storyline so very well. You build a very credible character in April. Great narrative, great dialogue, great book!’ -Famlavan ‘The pitch is great and the writing solid. The imagery is touchable with fluid narrative. The secret is well revealed and I liked the fact it came as a surprise to the character too. You can almost feel there is another world shivering in the background waiting to pounce.’ -Owen Quinn ‘Wow. This is a good story. I like the way you hint in chapter one that something big is wrong with April but then take your time revealing that - makes this a suspenseful read. It also makes April a sympathetic character, because she's as in the dark as much as your reader in the beginning. Well done.’ -Burgio
