There’s a Ghost

in My Closet!

Communicating with Angels

Illustrated by Alan R. Smiley

Written by Yvonne Perry

One evening as Sidney was lying in bed trying

to go to sleep, he saw something in his closet.

He wondered what it could

be, so he got out of bed

and walked toward the

closet.

The something

was alive!

It seemed friendly, but Sidney was still afraid.

“Von-Von!”

Sidney

shouted.

“Hurry! Come here!”

Von-Von came to Sidney’s room and asked,

“What’s the matter?”

“There’s something in my closet,” he said, “I

think it’s a ghost or a monster!”

“Really?” She sat on the bed and pulled Sidney

into her arms for a hug. “Have you been

watching a scary movie?”

“NO! I saw a ghost in my closet!” he said.

“I believe you saw something, Sidney. What did

it look like?” said Von-Von.

“He was BIG, and BLUE and SPARKLY all over!

“Oh, that sounds like an angel! Angels are

helpers and protectors,” said Von-Von.

“Did the angel talk to you?” she asked.

“Not with words,” Sid explained, “but he gave

me pictures in my head.”

“That is one of the ways angels speak to us.

Tell me about the pictures.”

“He had a very big magnet.”
